To me, the composition of forms in painting is like a conversation or dance; it is about relationships. I see human drama reflected in nature. Trees lean against each other like lovers; branches cross and tangle; flowers nod, beckon, repel, creating the painting’s rhythm. Botanical forms are the armature on which I build my abstract compositions. I use color and light to create the emotional atmosphere of this dance-space.

Recently I have broadened my subject-matter to include Interiors and Doodles. Nevertheless, formal issues of light, color, and composition remain my primary interest in making paintings.
